*Warning: PERSONAL RANT AHEAD*

That's it. I've HAD IT. I've HAD IT WITH PEOPLE'S JUDGING. I'm just minding my own business when my eldest brother has to ruin my mood. I wasn't in a really good mood at the time, but he made it worse. He takes a look at my Karneval DVD's and goes, "This isn't a Yaoi is it?" I blink and sigh, understanding his concerns,

"No it's not."

"Does it turn into one?"

"NO it DOESN'T."

"Well the WHY does the back cover of the box have this?!"

DEAR GOD. It was JUST a picture of Nai and Gareki! www.zerochan.net/1695887#full NOTHING was indicating Yaoi! Gareki was JUST removing his glove. I absolutely HATE it when someone takes one look at an anime and immediately thinks it turns into something it's NOT *I.E: A regular Bromance turning into a Yaoi*.
I'll admit, I'm not a fan of Yaoi due to some bad experiences in the past, but now I do have some boy ships that I like. Why? BECAUSE IT FEELS LIKE AN ACTUAL COUPLE TO ME. Most Yaoi's that I've previewed or heard of don't have good story lines and go straight to 'you-know-what', but the boys I ship have a relationship that feels, well real, and I don't mind/care about shipping them.

BACK to the main problem though. My elder brother HATES it with a passion, and is not really keen about homosexuals either. It may have been due to a event back in high school that happened with him, but I digress. I respect his opinions and understand that he is possibly more uncomfortable about the whole subject, but that DOES NOT mean you make a quick assumption to an anime you've BARELY/HAVE NOT WATCHED. If I told him about my boy ships, he'd F**KING cringe and never look at my art the same way again. I've put up with enough judging since High School and I have never truly got over it. No matter what I did or what I looked like I was put down every. Single. TIME. and it made me think that I was worthless. Equal to a low life wh*re. That was how BAD they hurt my self-esteem.

If you don't like my ships or opinions that's fine! But when you start JUDGING me, the things I like, and making stupid assumptions, you are CROSSING THE LINE. Everywhere I see people judge Anime just by looking at it. A few examples:

People who've heard of Free! Itowabi Swim Club: "IT MUST BE YAOI!" or "Bad Anime with muscle boys"

People who've heard of Hetalia: "IT MUST BE YAOI!" or "Horrible Anime with bad stereotypes."

People who've heard of NO.6: "IT MUST. BE. YAOI!"

.....................Are you F**KING kidding me? Because THIS why I watch anime. To see A-HOLES like these make these types of comments when they've NEVER WATCHED THE SHOWS. And don't get me STARTED on people who say they like anime when they've only watched Spirited Away *AWESOME MOVIE*. That's another subject for another time. Back on topic, here is an opinion from someone, I.E: Me, whose actually watched all three:

Free! Itowabi Swim Club: It is about swimming but the characters and story are what make it great. Each character has a personal struggle they go through, whether it's in the first or second season, and watchers can really relate to them; I know I did *Nagisa and Haru especially*. This anime is more then hot guys who swim. It's about the relationships and friendships they make throughout the show, and how they over come their problems. And the characters themselves really shine, at least to me:
Haru: A stoic but caring person whose obsession with water is more hilarious and intruiging than creepy. He may seem to have a straight face all the time, but he truly cares for his friends.
Makoto: Personally my favorite character. A big sweetheart who will do anything for anyone, except go into a haunted house. Lol *He's scared of Ghosts/Dark places* He had a bad experience in the past which made him not afraid of the water, but afraid of the ocean. *The reason is heartbreaking to hear from someone like him*
Nagisa: Just a bundle of fun. Someone whose sugar high matches my own and follows through with his plans no matter what. *Don't let him
Rei: Loves everything BEAUTIFUL. Kinda a perfectionist *Okay totally one* and loves making calculations. Absolutely LOVE his character and his development.
Rin: A bit brash at times, but he's actually a great friend. He may seem like a d**k in the beginning of the first season, but that's because of reasons which would be spoilers if I told you so no info for you.

And NO. Free! does not have only boy characters:

Gou: Or as she'll correct you to say, Kou, since she wants her name to sound feminine. Rin's little sister who is an all around like-able character. Who LOVES them muscles. lol
Miss.Amakata: The new teacher to the four boys and the advisor of their club. *A swimming one of course* She used to be a swimsuit modle, but that dream fell through and had to become a teacher. Don't bring it up near her, or she'll tell you to drop the subject. *And she can be scary...*

Next up-- Hetalia: Let me make one thing perfectly clear...THE ENTIRE ANIME IS BASED ON THE STEREOTYPES OF EACH COUNTRY.
For instance, Italy is always happy and loves pasta. America is really hyper and eats a lot of fast food, which is true here. There are A LOT of fast food restaurants. Finally, France is a flirt and loves romance.
If you don't like the stereotypes, that's understandable, but there's more to this anime than that. It actually teaches you history in it's own crazy way.

Finally-- NO.6: Now let me say that I will agree that the two main characters do seem to have a developing relationship. Needless to say I find it cute and interesting. But the anime itself isn't Yaoi.

I'm just so upset at the moment. Everyone seems to give me their damned opinion about something and it's really getting to me. You know what? P**S OFF. It's MY F**KING LIFE. I like what I want and do what I want. Do they know how much I wanted to be someone else? How many tears I cried because of stupid people. No, because they LOVE to judge. So thank you judgers. Thank you for me for doubting every decision I make. More importantly, thank you for making me almost not want to draw ever again. But you know what, I don't care anymore. Again, MY LIFE and I do what I want.

And if they don't like that, they can SUCK IT.
